Dental Bonding
Tooth bonding is a cosmetic treatment that patients may opt for as opposed to dental veneers. Bonding treatments seek to restore the teeth by covering existing staining or areas of discoloration, while also being a treatment solution for chipped and cracked teeth.
How does bonding work?
The bonding process begins with your dentist prepping the tooth by carefully removing small amounts of tooth material and then adding a thin layer of bonding liquid that aids in the bonding process once the bonding material itself is added. Then, bonding resin is placed on top of the tooth and then shaped into the desired form to best match your exiting teeth. The best outcome from bonding is a thin layer that perfectly resembles your natural teeth, and that leaves you with a beautiful and natural-looking smile!
Additional notes on bonding:
It’s important to also note that the bonding process can often be completed in a single day within your dentist’s office. This process can also greatly improve the appearance of teeth, removing any discoloration while also correcting chips, cracks, and gaps. Do know, however, that bonding material must be very carefully maintained as this material is more susceptible to staining than natural teeth, and that bonding work should be professionally maintained every few years.
Porcelain Veneers
Enhancing The Smile With Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers are thin layers that can be made out of porcelain or ceramic materials that are placed on top of the teeth to help them appear broader, bolder, and more vibrant. Veneers are an ideal treatment solution for patients who are suffering from spacing and gaps in the teeth, and are a time-tested and reliable cosmetic dentistry solution that millions of Americans turn to each year to enhance their smile!
Both the manufacturing and placing of veneers requires advanced knowledge of cosmetic dental appliances as well as how the need to be placed onto the teeth. Veneers themselves also take a great degree of artistic skill to be able to create, as veneers are matched to your existing natural teeth to make for the best-looking and most functional final treatment result. Our cosmetic team has decades worth of experience in veneers manufacturing to help patients achieve beautiful and natural-looking results!
Do they look like natural teeth?
As stated above, veneers are matched to your existing natural teeth to make for natural-looking and beautiful results. Veneers are bonded to the teeth, veneers made entirely from porcelain in particular are very thin, making them indistinguishable from natural teeth! They are also more difficult to stain than natural teeth, allowing veneers patients to enjoy coffee and tea without fear of staining and discoloration.
How long do they last?
When properly maintained, dental veneers can last you decades!
In addition to best preparing and placing dental veneers for patients, our team at Las Vegas Family Dentists makes a point to educated veneers patients on how they can best maintain their veneers to get the most out of your treatment. Veneers at Las Vegas Family Dentists are always manufactured from the highest quality and finest porcelain material to help patients get the longest results from their veneers as possible. Always remember to never put your veneers through too much stress to avoid chipping and fracturing!
Inlays and Onlays
Dental inlays and onlays are meant to improve the biting surface of the teeth to best improve tooth functionality as well as overall oral health. Inlays and onlays are ideal treatments for patients experiencing tooth deterioration on the biting surfaces of the teeth!
Dental Inlays and Onlays
Dental inlays and onlays, which can be made from a variety of materials including gold, porcelain, or resin, are bonded onto damaged portions of teeth to improve function and overall oral health. Inlays work similarly to fillings in that they are placed on the biting surface, or cusp, of the teeth. Onlays effect more of the whole tooth structure as a whole, covering more than one cusp of the tooth. Gold is a popular material for inlays and onlays given its strength and durability, although porcelain is now a much more popular choice of materials for these types of appliances. Our team will also match these appliances to your natural teeth for the most discretion possible!
Placing Inlays and Onlays
Placing inlays and onlays is just as key as knowing how they’re manufactured – the application process requires years of experience and know how to be able to be done in the best possible way for long-term treatment success!
One of the best aspects of inlays and onlays is that they can be applied in as few as two appointments with our team. The first of these visits is to ensure correct fit and comfort, and your dentist will take an impression of the teeth receiving inlays and onlays from which your appliances will be made. During the second appointment, the inlays and onlays are placed.
Additional notes for inlays and onlays
It should also be noted that inlays and onlays are specifically a treatment alternative to dental fillings, which, especially when a patient receives several of them in one tooth, can affect the strength and function of teeth. Inlays and onlays serve as an alternative, helping to increase the strength of the tooth and make for a stronger and healthier smile.
Teeth Whitening
Professional teeth whitening is one of today’s most popular cosmetic dentistry solutions with millions of Americans turning to professional whitening every year for a brighter and more vibrant smile. Teeth whitening is an ideal solution for patients experiencing tooth discoloration and severe staining, both of which can be alleviated through professional whitening.
Why Patients Love Whitening
Over the years, teeth whitening has become a perfectly safe and fast treatment solution that helps patients achieve a whiter smile while removing tough and stubborn tooth stains and discoloration. A single whitening session can be performed in one session. Teeth whitening can also help patients improve their overall oral health as patients must not be experiencing severe decay before teeth whitening can be administered.
Our office will provide patients with professional whitening trays that patients can pick up and then wear for a few hours per day. Within only a few days of wearing these trays for a few hours per day, you’ll notice tooth stains and discoloration disappear, leaving way for a much whiter and more vibrant smile. Oce you achieve the desired shade of white, only occasional use of these trays is required to maintain this shade. Tooth staining in general can be caused by decay and prolonged poor oral health, tobacco use, wine and other alcohol, and certain foods, such as berries. Whitening is an ideal treatment option to correct these stains and discoloration given its convenience and relatively low cost.
The Professional Whitening Process
Our whitening process at Las Vegas Family Dentists begins with our team taking impressions of your teeth which will then be used to create custom whitening trays, which are mentioned above. Patients should use these trays for several hours per day or as directed by our team. Many patients will experience a smile that is several shades whiter than before, and many patients will have a new smile that is completely unrecognizable! It should be notes that professional whitening is an optional treatment for patients experiencing mind to moderate discoloration – for patients experiencing severe tooth decay or serious tooth discoloration and staining, a more effective treatment solution would likely be veneers or dental bridgework.

How does the Invisalign system work?
- Invisalign leverages a series of aligner trays that are removable and customized to each patient after a series of impressions is taken by your dentist or orthodontic specialist.
- These sets of aligners work to straighten your teeth overtime by gradually moving your teeth into the desired final position.
- Each set of aligners is worn for two to three weeks at a time, and are removed whenever you need to brush or floss.
- Your progress will be monitored by your orthodontic specialist to ensure that your trays are correctly moving your teeth into the correct final position.
- In total, the Invisalign system will take roughly ten to sixteen months to fully arrange your teeth into their desired new final position.

I’ve brought two of my kids here for wisdom teeth removal and I must say the customer service is so on point. The staff is always polite, happy, welcoming. They take care of my kids and make sure we are aware of everything. Both times I’ve come here, I’ve witnessed one lady yell and cuss out the receptionist for something that was not their fault at all (I listened to the whole ordeal and the lady was very unreasonable and out of line) and the second time I came here another receptionist got yelled at because of insurance reasons that has nothing to do with her. I watched these sweet ladies handle difficult customers with class, they then apologized to me that I had to witness it, and I just want to give a shout out to Las Vegas Family Dentists and say they have been incredible to me and my foster children. I wish everyone was a little more kind.

Staff is amazing. I have a serious phobia of needles and they were very accommodating, I never saw and hardly noticed I had been injected. Doc was also able to save my tooth which another dentist had told me wks prior prior that I would need a root canal and crown as cavity was right against the nerve. But Doc was able to fix without hitting the nerve and I avoided the root canal and crown. Never going anywhere else again.

I arrived and the receptionist was very polite and courteous. The staff were amazingly warm, kind and pleasant. Stephanie gave me a deep cleaning and was patient, friendly and considerate of the fact that Dentists terrify me. I definitely recommend this place to any child, adult or family member! Great Job!
